The challenge of how to best manage a portfolio of innovations has never been more difficult, and is still as crucial as ever to realize your company’s strategy. Googol’s approach is to take away complexity and yet be holistic in managing the portfolio; resulting in one that is more aligned to strategy. In this 1-day module, you will be introduced to Googol’s portfolio management approach.
Why
Present-day portfolio management practices are characterized by piecemeal, disconnected and non-transparent decisions. This module introduces a way to connect corporate strategy to execution that is more aggregated, consensus-driven and transparent.
What
While your company’s strategy responds to the question ‘Why innovate?’, Innovation Portfolio Management (iPM) responds to the question ‘What to innovate on?’ We have developed iPM into a set of management principles that guide your portfolio decisions. These principles are reflected in the way iPM is executed and carried out.
How
You will be divided into small groups and guided through a hands-on, interactive workshop. The workshop will help you decide on a portfolio that best aligns with company strategy and complies with resource constraints.
Examination
What
By sharing learnings, reflections and future action plans.
How
It will be done in the form of a poster session, where you share your most important learning and how it has impacted you as an Individual, as well as for your company. You will also be asked to share your ideas for future changes as an master of innovation.
